About Me
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist and private practice owner based in Nesconset, New York. I earned a Doctorate (Psy.D.) in Clinical and School Psychology from Pace University and have received extensive training treating children, adolescents, and adults across a wide range of clinical settings, including schools, community clinics, and hospitals throughout New York City and Long Island.
Education & Training
I completed my pre-doctoral internship at League Education and Day Treatment Center in Brooklyn, working with adolescents and young adults with psychiatric and neuro-developmental disorders, providing individual and group therapy, mental health consultation, crisis intervention, and conducting psycho-educational evaluations. I went on to complete my postdoctoral clinical training at New York City Children's Center's inpatient unit, providing individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention, and psychological assessment services to high-acuity children and adolescents in need of psychiatric stabilization. Additionally, I have taught graduate courses in psychological assessment and mental health consultation at NYU.
My Therapeutic Approach
I primarily practice from a psychodynamic theoretical orientation, exploring how early life experiences, internal conflicts, and unconscious processes shape present thoughts, emotions, and relationships. I help clients identify recurring relational patterns and understand how past attachments, disavowed thoughts, and unprocessed emotions influence current functioning. Central to my work is the belief in the healing power of corrective emotional experiences within therapy. I integrate elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy into my clinical work, tactfully implementing techniques that support behavioral change.
I participate in ongoing professional consultation and training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy to ensure I provide thoughtful, personalized care tailored to each client’s unique needs.
